Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Corporate team in the Sydney CBD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting month-end activities and reporting for the Corporate function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries for month-end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and other monthly financial reports.
  • Support half-year and year-end statutory requirements by providing data and responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular financial and management reporting, including assisting with commentary and analysis.
  • Complete vendor and CAPEX forms as required to ensure costs are accurately recorded and payments can be made timely.
  • Ensure effective financial controls and compliance.
  • Monitor payment status and assist with month-end closures within the team.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Verify vendor accounts and coding as required to ensure expenses are accurately accounted for.
  • Assist with external audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in accounting or a related field (Big 4 experience highly desirable).
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Working towards or completed CA or CPA qualifications.
  • Proven attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills essential; SAP and TM1 skills highly desirable.
