Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion AR, monthly billings, issuing statements for all resident accounts.
  • Entering cash receipts
  • Debt collection
  • Manage residents' queries regarding statements / fee information.
  • Safeguard and maintain Medicare and Services Australia fees and payments.
  • Monthly preparation of debtor report.
  • Entering journals for the AR entries
  • Payroll Processing fortnightly 800+ employees.
  • Responding to management or employees' queries
  • Reconciliation and payroll journals
  • Month End Duties
  • Prepare monthly P/L reports actioning variance between actual and budget
  • Assist Balance sheet reconciliations,
  • Maintain chart of accounts,
  • Manage monthly accrual and prepayment schedules and their reconciliations.
  • Monthly intercompany interest calculation for the fund

Requirements:

  • CPA qualified.
  • Two plus years' experience as an accountant in residential aged care in Australia
  • Working in a volume driven timeline orientated environment
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • A person with a can-do attitude, who can own the role and who thrives on and variety.
