Job Overview

The company seeks a self-motivated and detail-oriented Operations Project Specialist to assist the Director in managing all commercial painting projects, large and small, from inception to completion.

The key responsibilities include budgeting, planning & scheduling, problem-solving, and negotiating. You will be responsible for coordinating commercial painting projects ranging from 1-day jobs to projects taking over 6 months to complete. You will work closely with the Project Manager, who is responsible for the overall execution of all projects, and be the go-to person for all enquiries, including preparing quotes, dealing with client queries, scheduling work, rescheduling due to weather, variations to scope, and organizing relevant permits for each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of commercial painting projects from inception to completion, with technical support from the Project Manager.
  • Oversee budgets, planning, and contract negotiation with exceptional administrative skills.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure WHS systems compliance.
  • Foster strong client relationships, promoting trust and delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar Operations Project Specialist role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); basic knowledge of the painting or construction industry is a plus.
  • A current driver's license is required.
  • Experience in project management systems and WHS compliance is desirable.
  • Preferred: 2-5 years of experience post-graduation and experience with DISC profiling or related assessments.
