Job Title: Multidisciplinary Mental Health Services Director

The hospital is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to lead a multidisciplinary team in Far North Queensland.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of best practice mental health services.

Maintain personal clinical knowledge and skills by participating in ongoing professional development programs.

Work collaboratively with other clinicians and service providers to deliver high-quality mental health services to residents across Cairns and the surrounding region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic health service that focuses on emerging technology, excellence in healthcare, teaching, research, and empowerment of mentally ill individuals.

Quality mental health services are delivered across various settings including an Acute Adult Mental Health Unit, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit, sub-acute Adult Unit, and Community Care Unit.

About the Role:

This position requires a highly skilled and experienced psychiatrist to provide clinical governance and leadership to the team.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
