Job Summary:
The Australian Government Department of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Workplace Relations section in the People Services Branch. As an Assistant Director, Workplace Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the department's performance management and integrity frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the department's performance management system, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to staff on formal and informal performance management processes, ensuring a fair and consistent approach.
- Offer guidance on the application of the Enterprise Agreement and associated HR policies, ensuring staff are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- Assist business areas in managing complex workplace matters, including probation and complaints, to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct workplace investigations, including APS Code of Conduct investigations and Preliminary Inquiries, to ensure a thorough and impartial approach.
- Assist with reviews of employment-related actions and decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and undergo a pre-employment screening process, including an identity and criminal history background check.
Security Clearance:
You must also be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance conducted by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA). This requires you to disclose all relevant and required information to fulfill the clearance process.
