Job Description

Mitsubishi Electric Australia is an internationally recognised leader in the design and manufacture of high quality, leading edge technology-based products and services including consumer electronics, air conditioners, refrigerators, industrial automation equipment and railway equipment.

Our organisation is currently seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Software Engineer to join our team based at our Head Office at Wentworth Point. The primary objective for this role is to perform coding for technical requirements written by System Engineers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Updating software for variation work from clients, interfacing with firmware and other software changes.
  • Analysing and investigating problems reported by clients and documenting the results of their investigations.
  • Performing maintenance of programs and correcting defects identified during the maintenance or testing process.
  • Running tests on software whereby they create and carry out modular testing.
  • Investigating and suggesting solutions to defects and problems detected during tests.
  • Acting in a safe, efficient and appropriate manner with consideration for risks and pressures of the operating environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum 5 years programming experience.
  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with a Major in Computer systems or extensive relevant industry experience. Studies towards in or completion of Engineering/Marketing Certificate/Associate Diploma would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
