About the Role
The Childcare Cook position is an excellent opportunity to join our team at KU Children's Services, where you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0-5 years old.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing the kitchen and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the children
• Planning and preparing all meals from scratch, using fresh and wholesome ingredients
• Ordering stock from preferred suppliers and maintaining a well-stocked kitchen
• Assisting in small group experiences with the children and introducing them to the world of cooking
Requirements
• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and a passion for cooking healthy and nutritious meals
• Hold or be willing to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check
• Ability to work effectively in a team and maintain a high standard of health and safety
