Overview of the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Childcare Educator to join our team at Montessori Academy. As an educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care for children under the age of six.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment that promotes the holistic development of your class. You will also be required to prepare food for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late afternoon snack, as well as maintain a clean and safe kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food preparation and presentation for daily meals
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen area
  • Assisting with meal plating and service
  • Cleaning of office, staffroom, foyer, and other areas as needed
  • Supporting colleagues and promoting a positive and respectful work environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Food Handler's Certificate
  • Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards (desired but not essential)
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
