We are seeking a Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Murray Vale in the Riverina Murray Region.

The role will involve facilitating positive health and wellbeing options for individuals, their families, and carers by driving engagement and participation in social, recreational, and cultural activities.

As the Leisure and Lifestyle Officer, you will be responsible for leading mental health and wellbeing programs that empower residents' choices and independence.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to plan, organise, and lead activities that meet social and recreational needs while promoting independence and increasing quality of life
  • Capacity to assess and document program effectiveness by tracking residents' progress and adjusting programs as needed
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Previous experience within an aged care setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Able to solve problems independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Knowledge of Work Health and Safety
