Recreational Activities Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Recreational Activities Coordinator to join our team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in planning, organizing, and delivering activities that promote socialization, recreation, and cultural engagement among residents.

  • Develop and implement programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and program effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the overall quality of life for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver recreational activities that meet the social and recreational needs of residents while promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
  • Assess and document the effectiveness of programs by tracking resident progress and adjusting programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in leisure and lifestyle programming.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Previous experience within an aged care setting.
  • Highly developed organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
