Mainframe Expertise Required

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume a critical role in z15 z/OS environments and mainframe systems administration. This is a hands-on position involving technical expertise, customer support, and system reliability in a 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for mainframe systems in a z15 z/OS environment.
  • Manage software maintenance, including patching and upgrading software using SMP/E.
  • Perform operational monitoring, alerting, and tuning for system performance.
  • Support application teams and management with mainframe expertise.
  • Operate and monitor master console activities.
  • Conduct analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incident/problem tickets.
  • Maintain and enhance middleware, scheduler, and batch processing systems.
  • Ensure security compliance through RACF and Natural Security administration.
  • Build and maintain relationships with technical teams and stakeholders.
Technical Environment

This role requires deep knowledge of the following technologies:

  • Operating System: z/OS.
  • Database/Language: Adabas, Natural.
  • Transaction Processor: TSO, NIM.
  • Monitoring & Operational Support: XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL.
  • Middleware: MQ, Datastream, RPC, CORBA.
  • Scheduler/Batch Processor: CA-11, Jobtrac.
  • Job Language: JCL.
  • Security: RACF, Natural Security.
  • Source Code Management: N20.
  • Storage/Backup: Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management).
