Monash University seeks a skilled professional to fill this position.

As a dynamic Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in providing expert financial advice and support across complex operational and research activities within the Faculty of Information Technology. Your expertise will drive strategic financial decisions and deliver high-quality services in budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.

This influential role will allow you to work closely with stakeholders across the Faculty and the wider University to optimise education and research outcomes. You'll partner with senior leadership to develop and present financial insights, ensuring strong planning, reporting, and compliance.

Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will enable the delivery of compliant planning and performance reporting, while your ability to translate data into actionable insights will inform strategic financial decisions.

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in financial management, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert financial advice and support across complex operational and research activities within the Faculty of Information Technology.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting processes; develop and present financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic financial decisions and deliver compliant planning and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise education and research outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in financial management in academia or similar complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with SAP or similar financial systems; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
