This influential role is a key position within the Faculty of Information Technology, requiring an expert in financial management to drive strategic financial decisions and optimise education and research outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the Faculty and the wider University to ensure strong planning, reporting, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include providing expert financial advice and support across complex operational and research activities, leading budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting processes, and partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic financial decisions and deliver compliant planning and performance reporting.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise education and research outcomes, using your experience in financial management, excellent communication skills, and proactive, collaborative mindset.
About Your Role- Provide expert financial guidance and support for complex projects and initiatives within the Faculty of Information Technology.
- Develop and lead comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes; present financial insights to stakeholders.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive strategic financial decisions and ensure effective planning and performance reporting.
- Strong experience in financial management, preferably in academia or similar complex environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; proactive and collaborative approach.
- Experience with SAP or similar financial systems; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
