Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is dedicated to providing mental health care to young people aged 12–25 in Melbourne's north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. The service is built on a pioneering legacy and operates at sites across Melbourne's north and west.
We are seeking an experienced Accounting and Financial Advisor to join our Finance Team. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and financial advice across the organisation.
The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge in accounting, finance, and operations. They will work closely with the Business Partnering Manager to ensure seamless financial planning and reporting.
About the Role- Assist in completing the Month End close process, including completion of month-end journals to ensure accurate general ledger and cost centre reporting.
- Conduct month-end review and analysis of results, including completion of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare monthly management accounts and reports for all levels of management using best practice methodologies.
- Monitor financial performance targets by assisting with the annual budget preparation process, revised forecasts, and performance meetings.
- Provide professional business-focussed partner services to designated groups, including assisting the Manager Finance Business Partnering.
- Reconcile and revenue recognise Activity Based Funding (ABF) and provide clinical leaders' reports on team performance.
- Proven experience in month end close process, management reporting, and budgeting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Currently undertaking or completed Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Magiq and Oracle FMIS highly regarded.
