Job Description

Cruise Whitsundays is seeking a highly skilled and motivated team member to join our Grounds Crew. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, managing luggage and freight movement, maintaining inventory, and assisting vessel crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional guest service and maintain professional presentation
  • Manage the movement of luggage and freight efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory through ordering, receiving, and counting
  • Assist vessel crew with loading and unloading of freight, luggage, and guests
  • Ensure clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie radio
  • Aid reservations team with enquiries and check-ins, including issuing tickets through CustomLinc

Requirements:

  • Ability to work efficiently and proactively in an autonomous environment
  • High level of personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to multitask competing priorities
  • Great attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks
  • Confident with the use of technology and communication devices
  • Minimum of 1-year's experience in a similar customer service role, with previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous
  • Experience in warehouse and procurement highly advantageous
  • Must hold a valid manual driver license
  • Must have own transport to/from Shute Harbour
  • First Aid qualifications highly desirable
