Role Overview

We have a casual position available for a motivated individual to join our Grounds Crew team in Queensland, Australia.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by:

  • Providing exceptional guest service and maintaining professional presentation
  • Managing the movement of luggage and freight efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate inventory through ordering, receiving, and counting
  • Assisting vessel crew with loading and unloading of freight, luggage, and guests
  • Ensuring clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie radio

This role also includes maintaining cleanliness in the work area and adhering to operational procedures and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have/be:

  • Able to work efficiently and proactively in an autonomous environment
  • A high level of personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to multitask competing priorities
  • Great attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks
  • Confident with the use of technology and communication device

You will also require:

  • A minimum of 1-year's experience in a similar customer service role
  • Previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous
  • Experience in warehouse and procurement highly advantageous
  • A valid manual driver license
  • Your own transport to/from Shute Harbour
  • First Aid qualifications highly desirable
