Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our team at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Director and both the sales team and marketing team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all administrative work and ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of materials when required, such as hotel brochures and sales kits for external promotions.
  • Assist in the planning of the day-to-day activities of the Senior Team as required.
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of rates, packages, and operational details of the hotel to handle site inspections with the hotel's client base.
  • Assist in the management of costs and keep an up-to-date monthly cost ledger for the S&M department.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/weekly reports for the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Assist in the dispatch and collection of Sales and Marketing correspondence within the Hotel.
  • Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with research and competitive analysis.
  • Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with specified projects relating to internal/external promotions.

  • Has the aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
  • Organizes time and work efficiently.
  • Effective numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and manages priorities efficiently.
  • Handles tasks carefully and correctly – is thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency balanced with a high attention to detail.
  • Good team player; contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked.
  • Previous administrative experience required.
