Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator Position

The Role: As the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will oversee the operational aspects of the social care program at our facility. You will work closely with management to develop and direct programs that meet resident needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and review therapy, social and recreational activities that cater to resident needs.
- Lead and manage social care staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Foster community connections by engaging with local groups, schools, and sporting organisations.
- Facilitate resident meetings and encourage participation in planning and program development.
- Maintain social care inventory and resources, controlling stock and conducting regular audits.
- Record clinical data, statistics, and program attendance.
- Participate in facility management meetings and contribute to strategic social care planning.
- Implement a vibrant volunteer program that promotes community engagement and resident participation.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV Qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle or a related field.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Current Driver's License.
- Proficient computer skills and information management.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in working in aged care.
- Well-developed customer service skills.
- Ability to lead and manage the social care team and volunteers.
Desirable:
- Experience in providing complementary therapies and recreational services.
- Demonstrated experience in dementia care.
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Knowledge of community groups and support agencies.
