Job Title: Social Care Specialist

 

As a Social Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to consumers through the use of proficient clinical skills and effective communication. You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams in a supportive environment that ensures structured supervision, professional development opportunities, and engagement in research and quality activities.

The ideal candidate for this role will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the AASW. Previous hospital Social Work experience is also highly desirable. Additionally, evidence of current CPE, as per AASW requirements, will be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to consumers through the use of proficient clinical skills and effective communication
  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams in a supportive environment
  • Supervise students and mentor junior staff members
  • Participate in teaching, training, research, and quality activities
  • Represent the social work discipline as requested by the Manager

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work
  • Eligibility for membership of the AASW
  • Previous hospital Social Work experience
  • Evidence of current CPE, as per AASW requirements
