Job Opportunity: Strategic Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Project Lead to manage our software and digital projects from initiation to completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving project success through effective planning, execution, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project leads to drive software and digital projects to completion.
  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive project plans.
  • Identify resource requirements and work closely with functional managers and business stakeholders on resource allocation.
  • Organize regular project team meetings, set meeting agendas, issue minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Facilitate Agile project methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and stakeholder demos.
  • Ensure timely completion of design control documentation as required.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, opportunities, and potential roadblocks to timeline, budget, and scope.
  • Track project performance against baseline metrics and KPIs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and decision-making across internal teams and external partners, including vendors and offshore development teams.
  • Provide regular project updates and ensure alignment on timeline, budget, and scope across the core team, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in managing software development projects in life sciences or related fields.
  • Proven expertise in Agile methodologies, including story splitting, sprint velocity tracking, and backlog refinement.
  • Experience with IT project management is an asset.
  • Certified Scrum Master, Agile certification, or PMP certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments (e.g., FDA, CLIA, ISO 13485, CE/IVDR) is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project) and creating Gantt charts and project dashboards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple complex, cross-functional projects concurrently.
  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes in a dynamic environment.
