Your Opportunity
  • Lead an outcomes-driven team and the development and implementation of key business objectives to maximise earning potential.
  • Manage project implementation to ensure consistency with organisational strategy, commitment and project goals are achieved.
  • Identify project opportunities, establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, develop business plans, implement commercially orientated actions and achieve identified performance targets.
  • Provide well-developed management skills with the ability to produce a collaborative project plan, deliver outputs, research and develop innovative strategies and solutions that mitigate risks and lead to achievement of project goals.

This position reports to the General Manager Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling values of Safety First, Working Together, Focusing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
  • Establish and develop effective relationships and networks to enhance our position as preferred vocational education and training provider to defence industry by creating opportunities for current market position by developing strategic alliances and to minimise barriers for growth.
  • Manage and prioritise strategic and operational aspects of project, including preparation of project and financial plans and reports, management of financial obligations of funding arrangement, preparation of planning and reporting documentation and other forms of communication.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice, information and reports to Senior Executive Team and Business Managers on key defence markets and products for future as well as key issues impacting sales planning and achievement of growth targets.
  • Cultivate networks and partnerships nationally to enhance our position as preferred vocational education and training provider to defence industry and develop detailed market assessment and sales plans including market segmentation.
  • Analyse and review progress of project through broad range of continuous improvement processes, by establishing and monitoring performance indicators, identifying and addressing risks and regularly reporting recommendations to Senior Executive Team based on findings.
  • Develop and manage outcomes-driven team while monitoring and reporting on sales initiatives to ensure business defence project's objectives and current & future financial targets are met.
  • Lead and manage project management team, including commercial tendering process.
  • Provide expert advice on collaborative projects which can be undertaken to increase our capability and image as preferred provider to defence industry.
