About the Role: We're seeking an enthusiastic Health Safety Manager to join our team at our Brisbane Fulfillment Centre. This role involves partnering with site leaders and operations teams to drive our Amazon WHS culture and lead continuous improvement. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies, and assist site teams in incorporating safety standards into their work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small site-based Health Safety team, creating and executing leadership development plans.
  • Complete risk assessments related to EHS hazards.
  • Develop local site Health Safety procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards.
  • Analyze safety metrics and review incident trends.
  • Measure sites' performance against published requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver on-time and quality projects to Operations.
  • Perform frequent site Health Safety audits.
  • Lead and mentor Safety Associates or H&S representatives.
  • Ensure contractor management safety processes are implemented.

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree, experience implementing lean principles and process improvement, and prior experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.
