The Role: Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO)

This pivotal leadership position oversees the Digital Health and Information Division, responsible for strategy, innovation, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Health Service Chief Executive, the CCIO will lead the integration of digital health solutions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the Metro South Digital Health Strategy 2023–2028, aligning technology innovations with organisational goals.">
  • Operational Oversight: Manage digital architecture, clinical informatics, solution delivery, and data optimisation with an annual budget of $21 million.">
  • Governance and Risk Management: Implement robust information security frameworks and ensure compliance with state and national digital health guidelines.">
  • Capability Building: Lead workforce development initiatives to build a digitally skilled, future-ready health workforce.">
  • Innovation and Collaboration: Partner with tertiary education and research institutions to advance digital health initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.">

About You

">

You are a strategic and visionary leader with extensive experience in digital health, clinical informatics, or ICT leadership. To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Expertise: High-level knowledge of clinical informatics, ICT systems, and emerging digital health trends.">
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic initiatives in complex environments.">
  • Strategic Vision: A track record of developing and implementing transformative digital strategies.">
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong consulting, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.">
  • Qualifications: While not mandatory, clinical qualifications and tertiary education in ICT, business management, or a related field are highly regarded.">

Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
