We are seeking an experienced Director of Enterprise Safety Strategy to lead our safety journey and make a meaningful impact. About the Role
  • Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will own the Work Health & Safety (WHS) strategy for the bank and lead a small, dynamic team to develop and deliver WHS operational plans aligned with organisational goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to build and embed a proactive safety culture and champion continuous improvement in physical and psychological safety.
  • Provide expert advice to the Chief People Officer and Executive Team, ensuring WHS remains a strategic priority and driving compliance with WHS legislation, managing reporting to the Board and Executive, and overseeing state-based workers' compensation schemes.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver the WHS strategy and operational plans aligned with organisational goals.
  • Safety Culture: Embed a proactive and preventative safety mindset across the bank, empowering our people to be their healthiest and safest selves.
  • Risk Management: Implement effective risk identification, mitigation, and hazard control processes, ensuring timely support and driving resolutions to prevent recurrence.
