
Food Safety Specialist

The Service Deli Assistant will play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience when visiting our store.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous member service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Prepare and make various types of sushi platters and trays to meet customer demands.
- Prepare, package, and label meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, and ribs according to company guidelines.
- Assemble take-and-bake pizzas to customer specifications.
- Maintain the highest standard of food safety, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Skewer and cook chickens and ribs in commercial rotisserie ovens, ensuring optimal quality and presentation.
- Insert skewers into rotisserie rotator slots, press button to rotate for loading, and ensure accurate counting and recording of products.
- Packaging product, weighing ribs, and placing them in heated display cases according to company standards.
- Rotate stock and pull chicken/rib boxes, maintaining an organized and well-stocked workspace.
- Packaging, wrapping, sealing, weighing, and labeling products using automated wrapping machines, adhering to quality control checks.
- Stock and rotate display cases, presenting visually appealing displays to attract customers.
- Following Costco formulas and diagrams, monitor finished products to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Comply with health regulations, including sanitation, temperature, and pull dates, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Uphold safety and security procedures, reporting any incidents or concerns to management immediately.
- Restock and assemble large boxes of ingredients and supplies in the prep area, maintaining an efficient workflow.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and tools, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Clean equipment by disassembling and spraying with cleaning and sanitizing agents, wiping bases, and washing parts in 3-compartment sinks.
- Count products on hand, calculate production needs, and document production on daily forms.
- Fill out time and temperature record forms, accurately tracking production data.
- Record product to be salvaged, damaged, or destroyed for manager audit, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Complete sanitation checklists after final cleanup, confirming adherence to health regulations.
- Clean the deli area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, and low-pressure washing, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Empty drain screens and trash, and operate the trash compactor and cardboard baler, contributing to a sustainable workplace.
- Assist with front-end duties as necessary, providing support to colleagues and customers alike.
- Assist other areas in the department as needed, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the store.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as required by business needs, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
