Job Title: Assistant Director, Human Resources

Join the Justice and Community Safety Directorate ACT as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director, Human Resources to lead our people services and initiatives.

About the Role

The Assistant Director, Human Resources will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic and operational people services that support a positive workforce experience, leadership capability, and business outcomes at ACT Courts and Tribunal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and high-level strategic advice on complex human resource matters
  • Support operational people services such as workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, and reporting
  • Lead the implementation of key strategic human resource initiatives, including the ACT Courts and Tribunal People Strategy, Operational Workforce Plans, and Learning and Development Framework
  • Oversight of the Human Resource Officer (ASO6) in the People and Governance team
Requirements
  • Qualifications in human resources, employee relations, or psychology are highly desirable
  • Computer literacy skills are relevant to this role
  • To be eligible for permanent employment, you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident
  • To be eligible for temporary employment, you must hold a valid work visa, be an Australian citizen, or a permanent resident
