Home Loan Settlement Officer

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end home loan settlement process. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in growing a culture of exceptional service and teamwork within the team.
  • Review documents accurately to ensure they are correctly completed in preparation for settlement, adhering to customers' needs, legal requirements, policy, and procedure.
  • Process settlement workspaces, funding, and finalise mortgages, along with collateral creation or discharge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Financial Services with exposure to operations, ideally with a robust understanding of the settlement process.
  • Knowledge of property settlement processes within Australian lending standards.
  • Knowledge of relevant finance industry standards, acts, codes, and legislation (e.g., Consumer Credit Code, Code of Practice, Privacy Act, Trade Practices Act, Financial Services Reform Act).
  • An organised style, ability to work at a fast pace individually and within a team to manage workflow.
  • Commercial acumen, be technically minded and have high attention to detail.
