
Drafting System Specialist

Job Role Overview:
The role of a Drafting Coordinator is to ensure the drafting process runs smoothly and efficiently. This involves aligning drafting practices, maintaining consistent quality and promoting collaboration between teams.
As a key member of the Technical Services team, you will play a vital part in the delivery of accurate and standardized drafting outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standards & Template Management
- Develop and implement standard drafting templates across multiple disciplines.
- Manage company design and production standard detail books.
- CAD Libraries & Data Management
- Maintain and standardise stock and equipment libraries.
- Manage 2D and 3D block libraries.
- Ensure CAD data is structured, version-controlled and accessible.
- Drafting Systems & Quality Control
- Oversee drafting procedures and modelling workflows.
- Establish and maintain drafting and modelling checklists.
- Manage folder structures and file naming conventions for drafting outputs.
- Training & Support
- Support onboarding and upskilling of drafting personnel.
- Deliver training in CAD software.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant and SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing CAD standards, templates and libraries.
