Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in North Queensland. As a key member of our internationally recognised Environmental Management Permitting & Compliance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective environmental management strategies across various sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in environmental science, engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of post-graduation experience in consulting. You will have demonstrated expertise in managing multidisciplinary projects, working knowledge of QLD environmental legislation and policies, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Auditing: Conduct thorough environmental audits to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for implementation.
- Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Plans: Develop and implement progressive rehabilitation and closure plans to ensure the long-term sustainability of projects.
- Estimated Rehabilitation Cost (ERC) Analysis: Conduct ERC analysis to determine the cost-effectiveness of rehabilitation options.
- Environment Management & ESG: Provide expert advice on environment management and ESG principles to clients and stakeholders.
- Mining Approvals: Assist clients in obtaining mining approvals and permits.
- Project Delivery: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across various sectors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Requirements:
- Education: Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of post-graduation experience in consulting.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of QLD environmental legislation and policies, and intermediate-advanced excel skills.
