Job Opportunity: Environmental Conservation Specialist

The role of an Environmental Conservation Specialist is to develop and implement programs aimed at preserving the natural environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage a team to oversee environmental conservation projects
  • Undertake tasks related to fire and pest management, plant maintenance, and infrastructure upkeep
  • Collaborate with Indigenous stakeholders to manage their ancestral lands
  • Contribute to protecting the environment and planning for its sustainable use
Requirements:
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in operating and maintaining equipment and vehicles
  • Supervisory experience and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in undertaking compliance and enforcement activities
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the interests of First Nations people
