Empowering Lives: Disability Support Specialist

We provide support to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live independently in their homes and communities.
- Active Support: develop personal interests, assist with daily living tasks, transportation, and coach independent living skills
- Health Support: administer medication as prescribed, document health information and follow established health plans
- Positive Behaviour Support: identify and manage behaviour triggers and implement strategies for escalation prevention
- Safeguarding: ensure the safety of both you and the participant, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities
- Experience working with diverse behaviours and needs
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and overnight shifts
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
- National Police Certificate
- Current Driver's License
- First Aid Certification
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations
