Supporting Independence in Daily Living

At our organisation, we provide a safe environment for individuals with disabilities to thrive. Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes empower residents to live their best lives.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support and care to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being in daily living activities. Your role will involve assisting residents with personal care, daily routines, and household tasks, as well as supporting them in developing and maintaining independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care and daily routines
  • Support residents in developing and maintaining independence
  • Engage residents in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to deliver individualized support plans
  • Accurately document and report on resident progress and care

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or similar
  • Previous experience in a SIL home or similar disability support setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Valid driver's license
