Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician

CIMIC's Thiess Mount Arthur South is seeking an experienced Pre-Service/Equipment Inspector to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skills and grow with a high-performing team in a lifestyle roster.
This role involves inspecting Haul Trucks during services to identify defects and potential issues, creating work orders based on defect severity, and collaborating with maintenance planners to schedule repairs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting Haul Trucks during services to identify defects and potential issues.
- Creating work orders based on defect severity and collaborating with maintenance planners to schedule repairs.
- Reviewing machine health reports to enable targeted inspections.
- Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of submitted job planning forms.
- Involvement in maintenance planning and reliability meetings.
About You:
- A Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar.
- Post-trade experience working in the Mining industry, specifically with CAT 789 & 793's.
- Sound knowledge of computer software and previous experience with creation of work orders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and across multiple departments, meet critical deadlines, and high attention to detail.
- A high regard and practice of health and safety.
