About the Role

Cimic Group, a leading international contractor and mining services company, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Thiess Mount Arthur South in Muswellbrook. This role offers a unique chance to expand your skills and grow with a high-performing team.

This position involves working a lifestyle roster with 12.5-hour day shifts only. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting Haul Trucks during services to identify defects and potential issues.
  • Creating work orders based on defect severity and collaborating with maintenance planners to schedule repairs.
  • Reviewing machine health reports to enable targeted inspections.
  • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of submitted job planning forms.
  • Involvement in maintenance planning and reliability meetings.

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar.
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining industry, specifically with CAT 789 & 793's.
  • Sound knowledge of computer software and previous experience with creating work orders are desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and across multiple departments, meet critical deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
