About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Mount Pleasant Operations. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy earthmoving equipment.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance on large-scale mobile mining equipment including Liebherr R9600, R9400, R996, and Komatsu PC7000 Excavators, Cat drill fleet, CAT Trucks, Komatsu 930E Trucks, and Dozers, as well as other ancillary equipment.
  • Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component changeouts to a high standard.
  • Sourcing technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Conducting required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic Certificate III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or similar.
  • Post-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component changeouts, and servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Liebherr and CAT large earthmoving equipment.
