Aeromedical Coordinator Role

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking a skilled Coordinator - Air Operations to join our team in Essendon Hangar. As a key member of our Mobile Patient Care (MPC) team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating aeromedical non-emergency patient transports, ensuring seamless operational communications, and supervising day-to-day shift activities.
This position requires strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and potential conflicting priorities. You will be responsible for coordinating with customers, stakeholders, and peers to meet service delivery and contractual obligations, including resource and equipment allocation.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and supporting NEPT aeromedical teams throughout their shift, implementing actions to increase patients transported and appropriate transport decisions, and providing administration support, including accurate data collection, invoicing, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and possess a proactive and can-do attitude.
