Job Role:

The Technology Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of new risk and compliance methodologies and frameworks for the division.

This first-line role involves partnering with the business to provide risk and compliance advice on technology-related matters, including cyber security.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert risk, control, and compliance advice to senior leaders
  • Coaching and guiding a small group of technology risk professionals
  • Identifying and assessing risks and controls against business objectives
  • Assessing the design of key IT risks and obligation-related controls
  • Facilitating and chairing risk and compliance forums/committees

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in a Technology Risk Management or IT Audit role, preferably in a highly regulated industry.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in technology, accounting, finance, or relevant fields with certifications such as CISA/CISSP/CRISC/CISM/ITIL/CPA/CA
  • Experience managing/mentoring small teams and passion for developing people
  • Sound knowledge of technology risks organisations face
  • Technically savvy with experience in technology platforms: cloud, business systems, architecture, IT, Cyber
  • Familiar with risk and compliance frameworks, concepts, and standards
  • Strong knowledge of APRA landscape relating to information security or cyber risk
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and challenge respectfully
  • Ability to articulate and provide feedback in a constructive manner
  • Highly refined written and verbal communication skills
