About the Job

As a Helpline Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing brief, dementia-specific consultations through phone calls, live chat, and email.
  • Facilitating service referrals to relevant internal and external services.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of client activity and other relevant information.
  • Participating in monthly team meetings, formal clinical supervision sessions, and allocated professional development time.

Our Helpline Advisors are trained to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of our clients. We offer ongoing training and support to ensure our team members stay up-to-date with the latest developments in dementia care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate specialty area such as Counselling, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or similar.
  • Experience providing individual solution-focused support/information/counselling in an appropriate health/allied health/aged care field.
  • Previous experience in providing individual telephone-based support services.
  • Understanding and proficiency in using available technologies and information to maximise efficiencies and deliver effective services.
  • Achieves results through a commitment to quality, planning, and efficient resourcing.
  • Continually develops and applies specialist and technical skills and expertise to achieve work outcomes.
  • Communicates clearly and openly with different audiences.
