Compliance and Risk Leadership Role

A visionary opportunity awaits our new Compliance Group Manager, where you will drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced trading environment. We are committed to excellence and innovation, with a strong focus on exceptional client experiences.

The role requires leadership expertise to develop and implement a robust compliance framework across the organization. This involves collaborating with the team to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability. You will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders at all levels, leveraging your negotiation and influencing skills to build strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a proactive group-wide Compliance and Risk Management Program to identify, respond to, and manage strategic, regulatory, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Maintain and enhance a risk register and compliance framework to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the AML/CTF program, privacy, data protection, and derivative transaction reporting obligations.
  • Drive improvements to the maturity of the Compliance and Risk culture within the business.
  • Review and maintain group-wide Compliance and Risk Management policies.
  • Report, escalate, and resolve group-wide Compliance incidents, breaches, and risk events.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in compliance and enterprise risk roles in financial services or other heavily regulated industries.
  • Experience in the retail OTC derivatives industry and/or AFSL compliance highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with AML/CTF, Privacy, Data Protection, and Transaction Reporting regulations.
  • Knowledge of global financial services and AML/CTF regulatory frameworks desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Business/Commerce/Finance/Law).
