We're seeking a seasoned Process Risk and Controls Manager to spearhead our operational risk management efforts. This pivotal role involves leading the identification, mapping, and enhancement of risk and controls within our most critical processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the identification and documentation of operational risks and controls within key health insurance processes, including system-based controls.
  2. Collaborate with process owners to identify control gaps and uplift controls (including automation opportunities) to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk and control documentation within process maps in Mega and the Governance, Risk & Compliance system.
  4. Evaluate and enhance process controls to ensure they remain current, effective, and well-integrated into BAU operations.
  5. Cultivate the skills and knowledge of process owners to enable them to manage risks and controls effectively.
  6. Foster trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and provide expert advice on operational risk.
  7. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and safe, customer-centric process excellence within the team.
  8. Oversee multiple concurrent risk and control uplift initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in process improvement, operational risk, or compliance, preferably within health insurance or a regulated environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in leading risk/control initiatives and embedding control frameworks into operational processes.
  • Strong understanding of risk principles and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Mega), as well as experience working with GRC platforms (e.g., Protecht).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and educate across diverse business functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple teams and business units.
