Operational Risk Specialist

Synopsis: This role will support the delivery of operational risk services across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategies for mitigating safety and wellbeing risks.
About The RoleAs a key partner, you will work closely with leaders to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of organizational-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing overall wellbeing.
Key aspects of your role will include:
- Collaboration with senior leadership to drive risk management initiatives.
- Contribution to the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
- Support for the design and delivery of training programs focused on safety and wellbeing.
- Collaborative working with cross-functional teams to ensure safe systems of work are implemented and monitored.
- A tertiary qualification in health and safety, injury management, or related discipline is essential.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within complex environments is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build effective relationships with stakeholders and influence positive change.
- Previous experience working within retail settings - although not mandatory, would be beneficial.
