">Job OpportunityWe are seeking a skilled Senior Instrument and Controls Engineer to drive project success through effective design, risk management, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement fit-for-purpose designs that balance risk and reward to enhance project NPV.
- Ensure project scope aligns with the asset's operating philosophy.
- Provide expert input to prevent scope drift and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource recovery.
- Balance risk and reward for safe, operable facilities with low lifecycle costs.
- Maintain a development design catalogue to improve NPV and reduce cycle time.
- Act as technical authority for the Instrument and Controls discipline.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, industry, and company standards.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on updates to standards and deviations.
To succeed in this role, you will require 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas or similar industry, including 5-7 years in Instrument and Control engineering within Upstream or Processing facilities. A bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control System Engineering is essential, with a postgraduate qualification in Project Management and familiarity with project management processes being desirable.
