Advanced Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at UNSW on an ARC Discovery Project focused on developing innovative control theory and machine learning techniques for industrial process control.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to undertake cutting-edge research, collaborating with the Process Control Group within the School of Chemical Engineering. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing knowledge in process control and related areas.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth research on control theory and machine learning techniques, focusing on an aspect of the ARC Discovery Project.
- Collaborate with the Process Control Group to advance knowledge in process control and related areas.
- PhD in Engineering or Mathematics.
- Demonstrated expertise in process control and modern control theories, including nonlinear control and stochastic systems theory.
- Ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Strong mathematical skills and understanding of alignment with UNSW's aims and values.
