Senior Scientist in Advanced Process Control

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the Process Control Group at UNSW.
The successful candidate will carry out cutting-edge scientific research on an ARC Discovery Project titled "A Probabilistic Approach to Big Data-Based Industrial Process Control". The project focuses on developing innovative control theory and machine learning techniques to improve process control in industrial settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting independent research with minimal supervision, focusing on control theory and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborating with the Process Control Group within the School of Chemical Engineering.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in engineering or mathematics, with a demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish high-quality papers. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
