We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Sustainability Professional to support the development and implementation of health and safety practices within our manufacturing site. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment and possess formal qualifications in Health and Safety.
- About the Role:
- The Health, Safety and Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for promoting safe work outcomes for our team, customers, and suppliers by supporting the development and implementation of world-class health and safety practices.
- Duties:
- Drive the effective implementation of occupational health, safety, and sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Coordinate the implementation of all policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety standards.
- Assist in deploying Vista's Health, Safety, and Sustainability policies to achieve a workplace free from injury, discrimination, and harassment.
- Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a strong safety culture by communicating and consulting on Health, Safety, and Sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor data, trends, and leading indicators to identify opportunities for risk reduction, continuous improvement, and innovation in health, safety, and sustainability practices.
- Provide facilitation, advice, and solutions on Health, Safety, and Sustainability, including legislative compliance and risk management.
- Conduct regular Health, Safety, and Sustainability inspections and audits.
- Facilitate and coordinate WHSE risk assessments, monitor the implementation of actions, and coordinate periodic risk reviews.
- Requirements:
- Familiarity with legislation and regulations in Health, Safety & Sustainability.
- Ability to interpret health, safety or environment legislation, standards, and procedures.
- Influential skills providing the ability to impact & motivate leaders and team.
