Health, Safety and Sustainability Leader

The Health, Safety and Sustainability Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe working environment and promoting sustainable practices within our organization.
This involves driving the implementation of health and safety policies, coordinating occupational health and safety standards, and assisting in deploying sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will monitor data and trends to identify opportunities for risk reduction and improvement, provide facilitation and advice on health and safety matters, conduct regular inspections and audits, and administer WHSE management systems.
Key Responsibilities- Driving the effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
- Coordinating occupational health and safety standards
- Deploying sustainability initiatives to achieve a workplace free from injury, discrimination, and harassment
- Monitoring data and trends to identify opportunities for risk reduction and improvement
- Providing facilitation and advice on health and safety matters
- Conducting regular inspections and audits
- Administering WHSE management systems
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (minimum Cert IV WHS)
- Experience in the field of Health, Safety and Sustainability, particularly in manufacturing and production
- Experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment
- RTW Coordinator certificate
- First Aid certificate (highly desirable)
- Mental Health First Aid training (highly desirable)
We are looking for someone with:
- Working knowledge of legislation and regulations in Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Demonstrated ability to interpret health, safety or environment legislation, standards, and procedures
- Influential skills providing the ability to impact and motivate leaders and team members
- Problem-solving skills and a strong desire for success
- Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of Google Workplace suite
