Job Title: Health, Safety, and Sustainability Coordinator Role

This role is responsible for supporting and influencing the safety and sustainability agenda at our manufacturing site in Melbourne.

  • Drive effective implementation of occupational health, safety, and sustainability policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate implementation of all policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Assist in deploying Health, Safety, and Sustainability policies to achieve a workplace free from injury, discrimination, and harassment.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture by communicating and consulting on Health, Safety, and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor data, trends, and leading indicators to identify opportunities for risk reduction, continuous improvement, and innovation in health, safety, and sustainability practices.

Requirements include formal qualifications in Health and Safety, experience in Health, Safety and Sustainability - particularly in manufacturing/production and sustainability, and experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment. Key attributes include working knowledge of legislation and regulations in Health, Safety & Sustainability, demonstrated ability to interpret health, safety or environment legislation, and influential skills providing the ability to impact and motivate leaders and teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal qualifications in Health and Safety.
  • Experience in Health, Safety and Sustainability, particularly in manufacturing/production and sustainability.
  • Experience in coordinating workplace injuries in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of legislation and regulations in Health, Safety & Sustainability.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret health, safety or environment legislation.
  • Influential skills providing the ability to impact and motivate leaders and teams.
