High Speed Vessel Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Marine Vessel Engineer to fill this critical role. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily preventative maintenance tasks and ensuring the safe mechanical operation of vessels.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular engine and machinery checks on assigned vessels to guarantee their optimal performance
- Collaborate with the Master to manage vessel operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Detect and diagnose system issues, and oversee repairs to maintain efficient and safe vessel operation
- Develop and implement effective vessel maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Maintain open communication with shore support for servicing and repairs, ensuring seamless coordination
- Assist with securing vessels at marinas and island jetties, promoting safe docking procedures
- Participate in regular safety drills and assist with guest experience duties to provide exceptional customer service
- Prior experience as a Marine Engineer with a MED 1 qualification is essential
- Extensive knowledge of marine engines and systems, along with excellent analytical skills
- Superb customer service skills and ability to work independently
- Proven experience working with high-speed vessels and strong organizational abilities
- Effective time management skills and strong communication abilities to interact with customers and colleagues
