Engineer Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safe mechanical operation of vessels, performing daily preventative maintenance tasks and assisting the Master with vessel management.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily engine and machinery checks on assigned vessels.
- Assist the Master with the management and safe operations of the vessel in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Diagnose system problems as and when they occur.
- Ensure all maintenance requirements and ramifications are recorded.
- Coordinate and maintain effective vessel preventative maintenance programs.
- Accurately maintain logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off.
- Liaise and co-ordinate servicing and repairs with shore support as required.
- Assist with securing vessels at various marinas and island jetties.
- Be involved in safety drill practices as required by the Master.
- Assist with guest experience duties including meeting and greeting of guests.
- Experienced Marine Engineer with minimum MED 1 qualification;
- High level of marine engine and system knowledge;
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and introducing practical safety measures;
- Excellent customer service skills ensuring to meet the guest expectations;
- Experience with high speed vessels;
- Excellent ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills with customer service resolution skill.
