Marine Vessel Engineer Opportunity

Join us in a dynamic and rewarding role as a Marine Vessel Engineer, working on the safe mechanical operation of vessels. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marine transfers and extended stay packages.

Key responsibilities include performing daily engine and machinery checks on assigned vessels, assisting with the management and safe operations of the vessel, diagnosing system problems and ensuring all maintenance requirements are recorded. You will also be responsible for coordinating and maintaining effective vessel preventative maintenance programs, accurately maintaining logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off, liaising and co-ordinating servicing and repairs with shore support as required, and assisting with securing vessels at the various marinas and island jetties.

  • Requirements:
  • A strong background in marine engineering, preferably within the marine tourism industry;
  • High level of marine engine and system knowledge;
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and introducing practical safety measures;
  • Excellent customer service skills ensuring to meet the guest expectations;
  • Experience with high speed vessels;
  • Excellent ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team; and
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills with customer service resolution skill
